November 5 was a special day for the industrial department of the “Litana” group of companies: on this day, an agreement was signed with “BLANVIRA S. A.” (“UPM” representative office in Uruguay) for the installation of metal structures and equipment (ESP and BAG filters) at the eucalyptus pulp production plant in Paso de los Toros (Uruguay). According to the head of the industrial projects management department Konstantinas Jankauskas, about 4,000 tons of metal structures and equipment will be installed at the facility. Today, this project is the largest in the history of the department. The remote location of the facility faces “Litana” group with a number of issues that need to be addressed: opening a representative office of “Litana” group in Uruguay, forming a professional project team of 60 people, ensuring well-coordinated project management and information exchange. Work is scheduled to start in April 2021 and finish in spring 2022.
